I was flicking through checking out some editorial make-up looks. Make up artistry is one of the most underrated careers I swear (That's just my opinion anyway!)
These artists have the ability to transform your face into a world of colour, and make you literally look like a living piece of artwork.
I understand that my last post was about alternate fashion, and I guess this one is a little too (Maybe that's my headspace right now, but its a large part of my inspiration... Look past it!) But if Gothic chic and bright colours (And don't forget the thick eyeliner!) isn't your thing, replace them for black, brown and bronze tones, there is no reason why this website can't help you create a wicked eye for that fierce dress you were going to wear to that birthday!
The website I stumbled upon is called Squeak Machine. They offer a step by step, easy to follow tutorial on the the most amazing eyes. By clicking on each individual picture comes a guide to what colour was used and even the best brush to achieve it. There's no fancy words or ridiculously outlandish instruction. Just everyday knowledge that the make-up artist has so wonderfully chosen to share.
This season is all about the block colours, strong geometric patterns, and again COLOUR!
So dust off those 80's colours you've been itching to use but too afraid to put on, grab that liquid eyeliner and false eyelashes and GO TO TOWN on this bad boy!
And next time I see you out, there had better be some crazy detail on your lids :)
